Heavy weather recovery of lifeboat

Here iam going to explain about recovery of lifeboat during heavy weather.


1. Stop the ship first.
2. Connect the recovery stops on each falls.
3. Attach hanging off pendant on each davit end.
4. Lower the falls in such that it should not bang the lifeboat.
5. Connect the recovery stops on the lifeboat hooks.
6. hoist he lifeboat above waterlevel.
7. Stop hoisting and check weather recovery stop holding.
8. Continue hosting.
9. connect the hanging of pendent with lifeboat. and disconnect the recovery stop.
10. connect the falls with the hook.
11. Remove hanging off pendent.
12. Start hoisting upto stowage position.
13. Put all the lashings, safety pin, harbour pin.
14. Plug the battery plug.
